    JPSS CrIS with the ATMS EDR (CRIMSS_EDR)
    CRIMSS is a sensor suite consisting of the Cross-track Infra-red Sounder (CrIS) combined with the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) that globally produces atmospheric temperature, moisture and pressure profiles from space. This data family supports the Environmental Data Records (EDR).

Per NOAA JPSS Program office directive (dated 8-28-2013), the Interface Data Processing Segment (IDPS) has stopped producing the Cross-track Infrared and Microwave Sounder Suite of products as of September 8, 2014. The replacement product is the NOAA Unique CrIS/ATMS Processing System (NUCAPS) EDRs and can be ordered from CLASS under the data family JPSS Sounder Products (JPSS_SND).
