GOES-R Series ABI L2+ Enterprise Products (GRABINDE)

The GOES-R Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) Fog/Low Stratus (FLS) product provides estimates of low cloud/fog thickness and reduced aviation probabilities for Marginal Visual Flight Rules, Instrument Flight Rules, and Low Instrument Flight Rules. GOES-R ABI products are developed by the NOAA/NESDIS Center for Satellite Application and Research (STAR) and were produced within a near real-time environment at the NOAA/NESDIS Office of Satellite and Product Operations (OSPO). The archived products are distributed in the netCDF-4 file format with metadata attributes included. Please expand "Details - Metadata, Documentation" section below for more details.
