(Posted 09/21/2017) On December 21, 2011, OMPS calibration RDRs were missing and reflowed from the ground station on December 31, 2011. The revolution number that corresponded to this data was no longer present and these RDRs were delivered to CLASS with orbit number set to 0, both in the file name and in the metadata. However the filename does contain the correct start and stop time of the observed data.

Dataset name format is:

ProductID_(npp|j0[1234])_dyyyymmdd WHERE ProductID=any 5-character data product ID, yyyy=4-digit year, mm=2-digit month, dd=2-digit day or entire dataset name.

Example: ROMLP_npp_d20081010

Granule ID format is:

A 15 character string, where the first three characters are the satellite identifier of NPP. The next 12 characters are a zero left filled, 12 character number, specifying the number of tenths of a second since the first ascending node after launch. Allowable values are 1 through 999999999999.

Beginning Orbit Numberformat is:

An integer representing the number of the orbit at the start of the data collection for a data granule. The orbit number is incremented at each ascending node equatorial crossing.
