How do I order NPP Supporting Release Package Data?(09/26/12)

To order NPP Supporting Data Release Packages, you will need to search under the NPP Auxiliary Files (NP_AUX) product. Within this search, if certain Datatypes are ordered, then the result will be the delivery of the Supporting Data Release Package(s) that the ordered Datatype file(s) are contained in. Below is a list of the Datatypes along with valid Start Date/Time to search on:

Automated Process Coefficients: none exist
Data Quality Threshold Tables: 2002-01-01
Ephemeral Processing Coefficients: 2002-01-01
Initialization Processing Coefficients: 2002-01-01; 2011-11-08
Look Up Tables: 2002-01-01
Sensor Calibration Table Updates: none exist

When ordering, please be aware of the Software Version of the file that you are adding to your order. The same file can appear in the result rest multiple times since the file can appear in multiple Supporting Data Release Packages. Depending on which file is ordered, CLASS will deliver either the Supporting Data Release Package tied to Software Version 'I1.5.02.00' or 'I1.5.05.00'.

Why are my orders failing when I order data with companion files? (12/21/11)

When ordering NPP data, please do not request companion data other than geo-location if you are requesting packaging and/or de-aggregation options. Such requests will cause your order to fail due to a recently discovered internal CLASS bug. CLASS is implementing a code upgrade to handle this issue in February, 2012.

Why do my NPP orders contain more files than I expected? (12/21/11)

It is possible to place an order which will deliver > 10,000 files if you choose to order de-aggregated files and/or files with digital signatures. Some aggregated files such as OMPS data can contain up to 160 files or granules. The large number of files in one order causes the file access to be difficult. One data set in an order could produce hundreds of files. Please be aware of the number of data sets you include in an order, especially if you are exercising the option to order de-aggregated data with or without digital signatures. CLASS will implement a code upgrade to address the issue in February, 2012.

How do I order NPP data in CLASS (11/28/11)

How do I access pre-operational NPP data

Submit a request for access to NPP test data to CLASS Help Desk. Be sure to log into CLASS before ordering. Enter the correct period of record for the data. Pre-launch test dates are:

How do I place large orders (11/28/11)

To order more than 100 files, click on the "Quick Search and Order" button. The max file limit is 1000.
For orders allowing up to 3000 files (as of 11/28/2011), please e-mail a request for 'Block Order' access via CLASS Help Desk.

I cannot get any hits searching on RDR data (11/28/11)

Do not use the Node search criteria when searching on RDRs for any datatype. It will result in a false response of "0" hits.
Changes to the Search pages are planned to correct the confusion
